Here at Street Grindz, we have adopted this traditional Latin holiday and celebrate with our own take on the holiday with a food truck twist.
As you likely know, Hawaii is a true “melting pot” of cultures, people and of course food.
We have just about every race/culture/ethnicity represented here in the islands, and everyone brings their own “flavor” to our land [lol. so to speak].
From Filipino and Chinese plantation workers, to groups of Irish, Jewish and Spanish who immigrated in to the islands early on, Hawaii truly is a combination of many cultures.
Rather than having a traditional “Halloween” themed event, we want to celebrate our awesome Latin community here in Hawaii with a traditional celebration, with a non-traditional twist.
Our Dia De Los Muertos celebration at Eat The Street will feature music, art, traditional “Sugar Skull” face paint, and of course lots of traditional Latin and Latin-themed food.
From Tamales, Chicharrones de Pollo and Champurrado for those of you who want some legit latin grindz, to inspired dishes like Horchata Cupcakes, “Chicken Latino Pizza”, Poke Taco’s, Tres Leches mini donuts and so much more.
Whether you want a taste of the old country or some new and creative twist on a classic, Eat The Street has exactly what you are looking for.
And best of all, by eating at at Hawaii food truck, you are supporting small business in Hawaii. Its a win-win situation.
