This January at Eat The Street Hawaii we will be collecting donations to send back to the Philippines through Waves For Water; A charity who works on the front-line to provide clean water to communities in need around the world. And although this terrible tragedy happened 2 months ago, there are still many people in the Philippines who are in need.
They need food and clean water more than anything. And since much of their food consists of rice, which needs to be cooked in water, we decided that was the route we were going to go. We are teaming up with Waves For Water to collect donations to continue sending clean drinking/cooking water to those who need it.
So who is “Waves For Water”? The way they put it, “The mission is simple:
To get clean water to every single person who needs it”. So far successfully providing that much needed resource to people in Haiti, Indonesia, Bali, Pakistan, Samoa, and Chile. Heres a little more about Waves For Water:
On Friday, January 31st, we will be collecting monetary donations to send to Waves For Water to help out the people in the Philippines who need clean water.
