SMPL: Ono Empanadas

Today we check out Ono Empanadas. A Hawaii street food vendor that pops up at our events every now and then. As the name implies. they sell Empanadas, a stuffed and fried pastry originating from Portugal.
Theyre a perfect street food. Its a meat pie thats the right size to fit right in the palm of your hand.

Like a savory napple stuffed with meat. First you get the flakey crust of the empanada, then the ground beef and onions inside. It would be nice if it had some spice or sauce to it, but overall it was a pretty hearty bite and in a perfectly handy package.
