Street Grindz is proud to support over 100 mobile food vendors, beginning from the food trucks you see at Eat The Street and beyond! With all of that information, we figured…why not share some fun tidbits about our vendors to our fellow grinderz who see, EAT and enjoy them each month!

Our #weeklybiteZ series will showcase a different mobile food vendor each week, so that next time you see your favorite food truck or want to check out a new one, you’re armed with a little background.

Our first feature brings us to the blue and purple truck of Hawaii’s Fried Musubi. While their truck is named after their main menu item (a deep-fried musubi) we’re taking a closer look at Mama’s Fried Chicken. Offered with each order is a side of this delicious chicken, that’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! When we asked owner Sophia Vuong about the recipe, she simply replies with a smile, “It’s my mom’s recipe.” She did also mention that they marinate the chicken for a couple of days but in a secret sauce that we’re sure will stay within the family.

So next time you stop by the Hawaii’s Fried Musubi truck, try the chicken plate because in this case…everything DOES taste better fried!
